Week 8 Day 2

1.) Snatch 3x3, 4x1

2.) Snatch Grip Deadlift 6x3

3A.) Step ups 3x8-10 each leg
3B.) RDL 3x8-10
3C.)GHB Situps 3x8-12 weighted and slow

4.) Hill sprints or sled drags 10-15 minutes

  1. Snatch- 153 x 1, 163 x 1, 168 x miss
    SG DL (no straps)- worked up to 317 x 3

    Feeling Great! Body weight pretty stable at 190 lbs.

    Great article in Elite, well done, sir. Why do you think you missed the 168? What is your max overhead squat? Have you tried snatch balances, or drops? Bring these 3 support movements up, and up goes your snatch.

    Thanks man! I read your q an a article with Coach Z, great stuff!

    I'm not sure why the miss, I have a video of my snatch from today, I'll post it up for critique if you don't mind? I'm not sure my max on OH Squat, I imagine I can at least do bodyweight. I feel my snatch can be much higher with more practice on full squat snatch.
